short trek is suitable for the beginners in high altitude. You will
be introduced to Nepal and Himalayan region. Like some other tough treks,
this trek will take you closer to the Himalayan mountains. You will
surely witness the beauty of Nepal. You will go through almost all kinds
of terrains, rivers, forests etc.
01. Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
will receive you in Kathmandu Airport then escort to a 3 star level
hotel. Introductory talks with refreshment and dinner.
Early bed is suggested because of
a long air travel to reach Nepal.
A short city tour and trek preparation
day of a short city tour around in Kathmandu. We will visit four of
the UNESCO approved World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu valley. First
of all, we will visit to Swoyambhu Buddhist stupa situated on the hill
from where we can overlook the Kathmandu city, to some extent. Secondly,
we will move to Boudhnath Buddhist stupa. Our lunch stop will be there
while watching at the stupa from one of the rooftop restaurants. After
Lunch, we will have a quick visit to Pashupatinath Hindu temple area.
We can have a look at the temple from other side of Bagmati river. The
last leg of the day, will be at the Basantapur Darbar Square.
In the evening we will double check our
equipments. We can look around if anything is short in there.
03. Kathmandu to Syafru Besi (1430
will travel in a private coach. Early departure is recommended, we will
try what we can do on that morning. Most of the time we will drive by
the bank of Trisuli river through the villages and farming lands. We
will begin to witness the natural beauty and lifestyle on the way. We
will take up the height to Dhunche (2030 meter) and the road goes downhill
to Syafru Besi on the bank of Trisuli river.
04. Syafru Besi to Lama Hotel (2560 meter)
we will begin our trek leaving the Trisuli river behind, we will follow
on with Langtang Khola (Khola means river in Nepali). It is an easy
start, but gets harder and harder with uphill in the afternoon. We will
stay on the riverside throughout the day. There are lots of things to
enjoy by the river with varieties of flora and fauna. There is a big
possibility to spot some langur monkeys near Lama hotel.
Day 05. Lama
Hotel to Langtang Village (3400 meter)
will stay on with the river. It is a bit of climbing up through the
forest. The trail gets better when we reach Ghoda Tabela. We may stop
at Ghoda Tabela for a lunch. There are no big trees from Ghodo Tabela.
The view opens wider with the mountains on sight. Langtang Himal and
more are visible from the day.
06. Langtang to Kyanjing Gomba (4084 meter)
trail takes easier, but the altitude gets higher that makes difficult
in walking. We have to take slower on that day. We will reach kyanjing
Gonba for lunch. We will take rest to acclimatize in high altitude.
07. Acclimatization day, walk around the valley
day will be easier while adjusting with high altitude. We will hike
the upper valley.
08. Hike up the hill by the glacier, stay high then get back to the
will hike up above Kyanjing Gobma. We will get closer to the glacier.
There will be a tough climb up to Tserko Ri about 5000 meter above sea
level. We can always turn around from the half way if you feel some
uncortable in high altitude. From height we will stand up face to face
with some high mountains in the region.
09. Langtang to Lama hotel/Sherpa gaon
day to turn around following the same trail. We can easily cover two
days uphill trek in a day downhill trek. We will try to reach a village
called Sherpa Goan. We may stay in Lama Hotel if we feel tired of a
long downhill trek.
10. Back down to Syafru Besi
easy day down to Syafru Besi. We will trek through the typical village
of Sherpa Gaon and Khangjing.
11. Drive back to Kathmandu
back to Kathmandu.
12. Fly out from Kathmandu
to your further destination. Transportation to the airport is provided.
